Disposable email checker
Check whether an address or domain belongs to a temporary inbox service. Disposable addresses expire within hours, so they bounce and never turn into customers.
Checking a whole list?
Upload a CSV and verify thousands of addresses at once. 200 free checks every month + 100 welcome credits.
How it works
What we compare against
A list of more than 120,000 known temporary-inbox domains, including services that create a new subdomain for every inbox.
Why block them
People use throwaway inboxes to grab free trials or downloads. Those addresses stop working quickly, hurt your bounce rate and skew your numbers.
On your sign-up form
The MailQuell API returns a "disposable" flag for every address, so your form can refuse them as they are typed.
Questions
Is a free webmail address (Gmail, Outlook) disposable?
No. Free webmail accounts are permanent. We flag them separately as "free provider", which matters for B2B lists but is not a reason to reject them.
Can a disposable domain still have valid MX records?
Yes, and that is why a simple MX check does not catch them: the mailbox works for a few hours, then disappears.
How can I remove disposable addresses from a whole list?
Upload the list to MailQuell: every address is marked as valid, invalid, risky, disposable or unknown, and you can export only the ones to keep.
